Fall Lookbook Sneak Peek

I am so excited about an upcoming collaboration that I'm doing to celebrate fall fashion. I can't reveal too much (I know, lame), but I simply couldn't resist a little sneak peek today! I styled five looks featuring some of my favorite colors, prints, and details for fall - jewel tones, tortoise shell, camo, lace, chambray and more! I can't wait until the feature is live so you can see the full looks!

Until then, who's ready for cooler temperatures?!

New York & Paris

(Images: 1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 original unknown // 6)

I've recently rekindled my love of pinterest. To clarify, I never stopped loving it, I just wasn't making time to update my boards and use it as a source of inspiration. Over the last couple of weeks, though, I've gone on several pinning sprees - one of which included creating two new boards dedicated to New York and Paris. I realized I was accumulating lots of images dedicated to these two cities - so why not give them their own place? I feel like these are two destinations that many of us hold near and dear, whether we've traveled there or not. From experience, I know that I love New York. Paris, however, is nothing more than the pretty picture I've painted in my mind. Clearly, my wanderlust is in overdrive. . .

What are some of your "dedicated" pin boards? Leave the links, I love finding new sources of inspiration!

Currently Crushing: Loren Hope's New Collection

Currently Crushing: Loren Hope

Just in case you missed the memo, Loren Hope recently debuted her stunning Fall/Winter 2013 collection. I'm a big fan of all her designs - the vintage meets sophisticated meets edgy aesthetic is just my style when it comes to jewelry. The pieces above are a few of my favorites from the collection - especially the Cora Necklace (which I styled in yesterday's post) and Perla Earrings. Shop all the pieces here and make sure you click through her look book - wowzers.

#OOTD

Currently Crushing: #OOTD

This tee is everything. It's the latest addition to Shop Dandy's line of signature tees and it's definitely my favorite. Insinuating a little sass and snark, it's a great conversation piece in addition to playing the role of classic white tee. I love the idea of dressing it up with a skirt and heels for a nighttime look or jeans and flats to run errands or go to brunch. Graphic shirts are my thing lately - tees or sweatshirts. Shop all of Danielle's tees in her shop!

BaubleBar & Paper Fashion Collab

(Images via Paper Fashion and Bauble Bar)

The latest Bauble Bar collaboration is with the incredibly talented artist Katie Rodgers of Paper Fashion. The collection is exquisitely curated and Katie's artwork to accompany the pieces is lovely beyond words. I'm fascinated by the way the jewelry pops against the art - honestly, I could come up with somewhere to wear every single piece! You can shop the sparkly collection here!

My Style: Summertime Staple + Giveaway

This is one of those pieces that I wish I could wear year-round. As I'm sure you know by now, I'm a big fan of maxi dresses (seen here) - they're actually my go-to summertime piece. I'm also quite smitten with well-done jumpsuits (seen here). So,when Yanique from Dream-ers Vintage contacted me about collaborating I immediately knew that this jumpsuit-that-looks-like-a-maxi was the perfect item to style. You may remember seeing me in it in this vacation instagram. The evening I wore it, I got tons of compliments and questions about where it could be purchased. It's hand-made in the U.S. and can be customized in lots of different colors - coral is my weakness. And I love the pop of contrasting color that the Loren Hope Petra Necklace gives this outfit. . .

Life Lately: Office Details

(The beginning of a hand-painted monogram for one of my walls)

My work office is tiny, and when I took my first look at it I knew that I wanted it to feel cozy and inviting - but also be organized and functional. I've been known to lose sight of functional for fear that it wouldn't be cute. Over the years of setting up many dorm rooms and organizing my home and previous work office, I like to think I've perfected the "functional-meets-fun" set-up. Here are a few photos of my office and some DIYs I did to give it some personality!

**

(I picked up these containers last year in the dollar section at Target. And for my office, I like consistency when it comes to picture frames - all black.)

(A cute sign I made for my door - all supplies purchased at Wal-Mart!)

(I repurposed my old Lilly agenda pages into this cute banner for my bulletin board.)

(Finally decided on these two designs for my blank canvases. I forgot how therapeutic painting can be!)

(I also made two smaller banners for the door and trimmed the windows with polka dot grosgrain ribbon.)

(My hand-painted monograms that are now hanging on either side of my grad school diploma.)

Sometimes you just have to make time for things you enjoy - like an entire weekend of crafting! :) Keep up with what I'm up to on instagram!

Currently Crushing: Long Ponytails

(Images: 1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5)

On me, a long bob is the perfect hair length. It's easy for me to manage and style, but it's also a flattering cut for my face shape. As much as I love my length, though, there are times I'm incredibly envious of girls with super long, beautiful hair - especially when I'm in the mood for an up-do. As I was scrolling through my hair and beauty pin board, I realized I had saved lots of images like the ones above. While I certainly don't have the patience to grow my hair out, I do have plenty of time to live vicariously (and enviously) through these ladies' lovely locks.

Red Round-Up

Red Round-up

Do you have those colors that you've always kept in great supply in your closet? Mine is red. I've always considered it a neutral - just like leopard print - so I couldn't be happier that we're going to see it everywhere for fall. From apparel to accessories, the vibrant hue is the perfect go-to to make gray, chilly days a little more colorful. Red shoes have long been a favorite option to make an otherwise boring outfit pop. And red lipstick is part of my everyday routine. I remember this red suit I had in high school that I wore for FBLA and mock trial competitions - it always made me feel so grown up! Happy fall fashion prepping!

My Style: Tie-Dye Tunic

There were a few evenings last week that felt undoubtedly like fall. One, in particular, even called for me to dig my leggings deep out of the bottom of the drawer to pair with a tunic. This tunic from Surfdome is going to be a perfect piece to take me into fall (see here for similar pieces from Surfdome). It's temperatures like this that are my favorite. Not quite chilly enough for a jacket, but certainly an evening to cover up just a little. I'm getting just a bit excited for fall fashion. . .

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I spent it crafting, hanging out with my parents, and catching a Sunday matinee. Overall, exactly what I needed after a tiring week. I'm heading to the local fair tonight to see Easton Corbin in concert. On a Monday night?? I must have lost my mind! I'll do just about anything for cute country music boys!

Happy Monday!

Today's the last day to enter my giveaway for some adorable ballet flats!
